Our dear friend and MPI/MPS colleague Susan Laura Orbach, Ph.D., 66, of Royal Oak, Michigan died on May 12, 2021.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.
Beloved wife of Gary Zirulnik. Cherished mother of Ari and Elliot Zirulnik. Loving sister of Marlene (Christopher) Olson. Devoted daughter of the late Pearl and the late Gerald Orbach.

I was first introduced to Dr. Orbach in a class on psychotherapy. I presented my case to her, a gentleman who I found very difficult to work with. Not only did she teach me through this class to adopt a more compassionate and centered attitude. Despite her illness, she continued to work with me after the class ended providing me with ample supervision and directing me to become a more compassionate provider up until her passing. Her selflessness and compassion are examples that I want to live up to. Her memory lives on with every patient I see in my practice. Thank you Dr. Orbach for being who you are!
