It is with great sadness that we inform you that our beloved teacher, friend and colleague, Marvin Margolis, died peacefully at his home on August 22. He was 96 years old. For many years, up until his death, his wise leadership and guidance was the heart and soul of our Institute. This is a profound, immeasurable loss for so many of us personally and professionally.

There will be a private funeral service for the immediate family only.

For those who wish to do so, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Michigan Psychoanalytic Foundation or the Jewish National Fund or the charity of your choice.

Our sincere condolences go out to Dr. Margolis’s family and friends.

    My deepest condolences to the Margolis family. I understand this a time of mourning for those of you who were closest to him. It was with great sadness that I learned of his passing. Marvin was a wonderful mentor and frankly a father figure for me that made a significant abiding positive impact on my life
