Ms. Kantack conducts individual psychodynamic psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and adults as well as couples therapy. Her areas of specialization include: Depression, Anxiety, Perfectionism, Body Image Disturbance, Panic Attacks, OCD, PTSD, History of Sexual or Physical Abuse, Relationship Difficulties, Grief and Loss, Stress associated with Chronic Illness, and Adjustment to Major Life Transitions (such as beginning college, getting married or divorced, starting/changing a career, and having children).
She is a candidate in the adult psychoanalytic training program at the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute and is completing her doctoral dissertation on "The Relationships between Alexithymia, Perfectionism, Ethnic Identity, Self-Esteem, and Body Image Disturbance." She will receive her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy this spring.
