Psychotherapy With a Traumatized Patient (SATA)
How can therapy work to heal trauma? How can a very mistrustful patient be successfully engaged in therapy? How can the therapist deal with the disturbing feelings that can be experienced when working with traumatized individuals? This presentation of detailed case material from work with a traumatized young woman will allow us to explore and discuss some of these issues.
Case presented by Al Garmo, M. D.
Case discussion will be by Don Spivak, M. D., Faculty of the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute.
