Performance Anxiety: Problems and Strategies for Musicians and Athletes

Performance anxiety is a common, complex, and often-mysterious phenomenon experienced by a variety of individuals. It has the potential to undermine preparation, talent, ability, and self-esteem--eroding both professional aspirations and personal satisfactions. While this program will be of interest to anyone who experiences anxiety in public and/or social situations, as well as those who teach, coach, or treat those who may be struggling with performance anxiety, it will focus on musicians and high-level athletes who share much in common performing under pressure. Ample discussion time.
