of  the Michigan Psychoanalytic Society

Is pleased to present a half-day workshop on organizational consultation

Robert Gordon, M.D.
Psychoanalyst & Organizational Consultant
(Chicago, IL)

Saturday December 6, 2003

The Ad Hoc Committee on Corporate & Organizational Consultation invites you to attend a half-day workshop designed specifically for mental health professionals who want to build a consultation practice as a adjunct to their clinical practice.

In this workshop, Bob will present two cases selected from his consultation practice which will include a consultation to a family-owned business faced with the issue of succession planning and a case involving the demands of a start-up business combined with the personality clashes of the two owners/entrepreneurs. (Time permitting, Bob will present a third case.) There will be ample opportunity for discussion of each case with the workshop participants. Additionally, Bob will illustrate his theoretical concepts with references to two prominent psychoanalytic organizational theorists: Manfred Kets de Vries and William Czander.

Robert Gordon, M.D. is a principal of Analytic Consultants, LLP located in Chicago, IL. Analytic Consultants works with small organizations such as law firms, family-owned businesses and entrepreneurial firms. Bob has been a practicing psychoanalyst for over 20 years.
