The International Psychoanalytic Association celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, with commemorative events scheduled around the world. Since its founding in 1910, the IPA has been the world's primary accrediting and regulatory body for psychoanalysis. Both the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute and the Michigan Psychoanalytic Society are component members of the IPA.
Scholars and researchers will be interested to know that as of January 1, 2010, the works of Signmund Freud passed into the public domain. They will be gradually digitized and added to Wikisource, where they will be freely available to all.
