Dynamic Psychotherapy with Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Patients
Psychotherapy with patients who are lesbian, gay, or bisexual requires a special sensitivity to developmental issues, and to transference and countertransference experiences. This course will examine the literature exploring these concerns, including erotic transferences and issues of the sexual orientation of the therapist. Clinical material will be welcomed for discussion in an open and supportive setting. Therapists from the Michigan Psychoanalytic Foundation Liaison Committee to the LGBT Communities will be co-teachers.
