Analysis, like detective work, is a slow and pain-staking task. This paper explores the ways in which an analyst may find significant clues in patients’ seemingly insignificant statements to help them unravel threads leading to deeper mysteries of the mind. This presentation compares the work of fictional detectives with processes analysts use to pick up clues to solve the mysteries of the mind.
