Repetition and Change: Impasse vs Progress in Psychotherapy

The focus of this course is on the interplay of repetition and change. The nature of this dynamic will be explored both in the individual and within the therapeutic dyad. Resistance, enactment and the transference countertransference relationship will be studied in relation to repetition and change, or impasse in the therapeutic encounter. The discussions will center on clinical material and participants are encouraged to present clinical data.
