Continuing Education Seminar Series

Living in Fantasy

Email

 Print

This seminar offers students an opportunity to learn to think psychoanalytically without actually elaborating the various theories and conceptual frameworks that are usually taken as comprising the discipline of psychoanalysis. This is a participatory seminar which will investigate four aspects of the narratives within which we live, that of love and hate, sexual desire and orgasm, past and future, and “objective” reality. The seminar is designed as a working introduction to psychoanalysis as a spiritual-existential method. Weekly preparation for discussion will include some required reading.
