About Us
The Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute provides outstanding training and educational programs in adult and child/adolescent psychoanalysis and psychotherapy.
The Michigan Psychoanalytic Society is an association of professional psychoanalysts and other professionals interested in psychoanalysis. The Society's mission is to represent the clinical, professional, and research interests of psychoanalysis and its members. A related membership group, the Association for Psychoanalytic Thought (APT) emphasizes the development of its members' professional and personal lives through the exploration of psychoanalytic principles in clinical work, the arts and humanities, and everyday life. The Students and Trainees Association (SATA) is a membership group open to students in any discipline who have an interest in learning more about psychoanalysis.
The Institute and Society are supported financially by the Michigan Psychoanalytic Foundation, which also supports outreach and public information as part of its mission.
